Becoming a parent is harder than you'd think for some people. Fertility issues are rampant these days, and while it's troubling to watch the pursuit of parenthood dishevel a couple, it's extremely common. Couples who undergo fertility treatments are either made or broken by the process, and when the couple in this next story realized they couldn't concieve, they finally threw in the towel and adopted an infant.
Miraculously, 8 years later, they naturally had their own child. After naming her Princess, she was treated as such, and the parents made it abundantly clear which kid was their favorite… All the way up until their 18-year-old's graduation ceremony.

Picking a favorite child is an insane thing for a parent to do. While you can secretly have a favorite child—whether it's the one you get along with, the easy kid, or just the most mellow child of the bunch—it's positively unethical and cruel to make that favoritism known in any way. While it's human nature to rank things, it's pretty evil and just downright bad parenting to rank your kids against each other—especially when your "least favorite" kid is the adopted one.
